"Dear potential readers: All of my books began as personal note-taking
for my own use. As I gathered more information through research and
experience, I thought that information and insight might be valuable to
others - especially young people and adults just getting started with
coin collecting. The Numismatic (coin-collecting) world is extremely
vast and I haven't found many satisfying books on general beginner coin
knowledge. I'm neither a coin expert nor a professional writer, but I'm
a lifelong collector and I've
taken great care in writing and producing my books. I think being a
teacher has helped me present my books in way that is clear,
informative, accurate, well-organized, and visually interesting - I hope
you agree! I've also written my Coins For Kids book series so as not to
resemble a textbook. I've found that searching (with a little knowledge) through
"pocket change" can be an inexpensive, satisfying, and rewarding
experience. Once you get started - you'll discover favorites as you grow
your collection -and you can do it on a budget. I'm very thankful for
all the positive reviews and hope my books draw more people to
coin-collecting and help enrich their lives."
